Southern California surfers will ride into a time warp this Saturday at the 14th annual Surfside Sevenities. With over 75 surfing competitors dressed in vintage surf apparel and afro wigs, this event is sure to be interesting and enjoyable for all. Saturday's event will take place at at Anderson Street in Surfside, Orange County and the awards ceremony is slated for about 3pm at Don the Beachcomber. According to OC Beach Blog: "The rules are much different for this event: Competitors pull a number from a bowl before their heat, and that number determines what pile of old boards they can chose from. There were more than 100 retro boards from the 70s, many from the personal collection of Tony Alvarado." Love the sun, surf and 70's? We'll see you there!
